EcoStuff Romania calls for volunteers mostly in Romania, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine.
Keep Danube Clean is simply put a bicycle ride along the Danube with a clear purpose of identifying ways of keeping the river clean and having fun doing it. The ride will cover over 3.000 kilometers in 30 days, visiting over 100 cities, between June 29th to July 29th 2016.
We will identify which of the main three pollution sources – agriculture, industry and cities – impacts the Danube’s ecosystems in each country or region, learn about the best practices and the successfully implemented solutions and compile a report/action plan that would benefit every important local administration situated on one of Danube’s tributary.
In doing so, a team of at least 5 people will ride their bicycles from Donaueschingen, Germany to Sulina, Romania via Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine meeting local authorities, fellow cyclists, environmental organizations etc. in order to get the necessary data and information.
Join and you will:
– get experienced, skilled and internationally connected
– have fun
– expand your resume or give back to the world
– gain useful leadership skills and
– make new best friends!!
